12 Step Me

Our group's birthday is September 4, 2010.
Our group is like most AA groups: We hold business meetings, and obtain group conscience for any issues, and use the Concepts of Service to the extent we are able. Issues that may affect the site owner's personal liability or the liability of any group member are understandably not handled at the group level.
Any member of Alcoholics Anonymous may join our group. To have voting rights, you must be a regularly attending member for at least 30 days.
Any member who would like to chair or perform other service work may contact admin@12stepme.org.

Big Book Sponsorship

The purpose of Big Book Sponsorship is to work the steps and teach others how to work the steps. By connecting suffering addicts to recovered addicts who guide newcomers through a personalized one on one study of the original 12 step program described in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, we can achieve the same approach that produced 75% success rates in the 1940's.

VISIT Big Book Sponsorship to learn more and locate meetings.

August Blog of the Month

My name is Emily, and I'm an alcoholic. It may sound funny, but I really like for people to know that about me. I know I know, anonymity is the foundation, its true, so I won't break anyone's but mine. I just feel better, safer, more honest knowing that I'm not hiding my past, but embracing it. By the grace of God I am in recovery and have been since July 2009. The program of Alcoholics Anonymous is the greatest gift, and it keeps on giving everyday. I have an amazing family. My husband is Nick, my two beautiful daughters are Myca and Reese, my crazy dogs are Chase and Pedro, and as for the rest of the fam...in due time my friends, its a loooong story. I hope to share my experience, strength and hope in this blog to others in recovery and to the still sick and suffering. I also plan to have a little fun with it as a woman, wife, and mommy :)

October Blog of the Month

Through strong sponsorship, lots of meetings, practicing the spiritual principles as outlined in the book Alcoholics Anonymous and oodles and oodles of grace, I haven't had a drink since May 2, 2006.
