"Quiet Desperation" offer insights into why people despair and slip into addiction. I have been a active member of AA for twenty years. Quiet Desperation also focuses on the social and cultural enticements that induce women to find false hope in alcohol and on the spiritual factors that inspire women to overcome the dread that bars the path toward recovery.
